Welcome to The Japanese Rose, I’m Nadia (na-di-a). It’s nice to see you here!
Travelling since 2015, and vegan since January 2019, I like to combine my two passions wherever I can.
Japan, my first home that holds a special place in my heart.
Since moving back to Japan in October 2022 as a vegan, I realised how much trickier it is to be plant-based here, (although it’s very slowly getting easier).
My goal is to make vegan food and vegan travel accessible to everyone.
Although I’m no expert, I document my findings in hopes of making your dream trip to Japan as a vegan a little easier!
So if you love eating vegan food and discovering new cafes in Japan, follow me along for the ride.
How to navigate my blog
There’s no gatekeeping here. Food is my love language and I want to share all my findings and travel tips with whoever finds me so we can enjoy that together!
On my specific restaurants or cafe post, you’ll find:
- The types of food you can eat
- Menus and prices
- Things to do in that area
- Other vegan options*
*I like to give you plans B, C, and D because I know how frustrating it can be to make an effort to visit a cafe or restaurant to find it closed. The best way to avoid this is to keep up to date with the business social media but I know not everyone has access to the internet at all times.
All the food posts I share are either fully vegan or have vegan options and are up-to-date when I write the information but if there are any mistakes or updates, please let me know!
