Located on the first and second floor of Ginza Place, you’ll find Nissan Crossing, a sparkling flagship showroom displaying fancy and rare Nissan cars. If you travel up to the second floor, you’ll find Nissan Cafe where you can get a coffee with a personalised design on it.
At Nissan Crossing Cafe, you can get your plant-based caffeine fix whilst enjoying the view from above. The popular option is their MACCHI-ART design where you can get a coffee with a picture of your face or a cool car printed onto it, so I had to have a go!
Being in Japan full of wacky foods, cool drinks and fun or themed cafes, it can often be difficult to find vegan options. However, come to Nissan Crossing to get a plant-based drink and join in the fun!
Plant-based options at Nissan Cafe
Although not advertised on their menu online, Nissan Cafe offers soy milk for hot or cold drinks, which means no more missing out! Here are a few more cafes in Tokyo that offer alternative milk for when you need that caffeine fix!
At Nissan Crossing Cafe, you’ll be able to have a soy milk latte or matcha latte which you can have with your chosen image if you select the MACCHI-ART option. They also have three flavours of refreshing sodas as well as black coffee which you can have hot or cold.
How MACCHI-ART works
After you order your MACCHI-ART soy latte or matcha latte you either choose from their selections of cars, send over a photo from your phone or have your picture taken in-store – we chose the latter options and they got to work!
They make the drink as normal but before they hand it over, it gets put into a state-of-the-art machine which uses clever technology to print the picture onto the drinks. It’s seriously cool and I was very excited when they handed the drink back to us!

Enjoy your plant-based coffee in the open and modern cafe, with views of Ginza crossing from above. Make the most of the free wifi, and figure out where to explore next whilst recharging yourself with caffeine, and your phone on one of its wireless chargers.

Exhibitions at Nissan Crossing
Up until the 2nd of October, they have an exhibition celebrating the 60th anniversary of Nissan Gallery opening called “Travel Back to 1963”.
The “Datsun Bluebird 1200 Fancy Deluxe” and the “Datsun Fairlady 1500 1st Japanese Grand Prix B-II Category Winner” are on display and even I, who isn’t a massive car fan can appreciate these cars!
If you take part in answering some questions on a quiz, you also get to have photos taken in their photo booth!
